Barr put a feminist spin on her bid for the Oval Office, the LA Times reports: “I’m tired of watching as men destroy the world,” said Barr on her blog. “Everything used to be beautiful when women were in charge, and now I, working as the physical manifestation of the goddess Isis and the reincarnation of Cleopatra, have decided to save the world.” But that’s not all. The actress and progressive icon is also in the running to be the next prime minister of Israel. As she told The Forward in September, her reasons for seeking office both here and there stem from her belief that There’s no way for those two countries [the U.S. and Israel] to act independently.
